Explore the app design in the portfolios of Pat Harrington and Ben Stone, former members of the design team at Glooko.
At Glooko, we recognized the profound shift towards telehealth and remote care spurred by the Covid-19 pandemic. This was not just a fleeting trend, but a monumental transition, especially for individuals managing chronic conditions like diabetes. Our existing mobile app had many users, but out studies showed that it worked best for speciallized users. I spearheaded the initiative to revamp the Glooko mobile app, making it more accessible to a broader spectrum of users. Our mission to redesign the mobile experience making it easier for individuals to manage their healthcare remotely, thereby enhancing the quality of telehealth visits. The journey commenced with a deep dive into our users' needs, conducting research studies, workshops, user interviews, as well as concept and usability tests.
The redesigned Glooko mobile app now facilitates easier data logging from fitness devices, smart scales, and food intake, integrating seamlessly with 95% of diabetes devices in the market. It's more than just an app; it's a robust platform that fosters a better connection between patients and doctors, ensuring higher quality telehealth visits.
